What is a Shop Fitter?

A shop fitter specialises in ‘fitting out’ commercial spaces such as cafes, schools, restaurants, retail stores and offices. ‘Fitout’ is a term used to describe the process of making interior spaces suitable for occupation.

To put it simply, we handle everything from the design, certification, structural work and engineering through to service trades and other onsite requirements. Our job is to make sure every environment we fit out is of a high-quality finish and will leave a lasting impression on your clients.

Before you ask, “why should I use one?” I will ask you this.

What is it that you like about your favourite café?
Or your favourite restaurant?

I’m sure the coffee and food play a big part in that, but it also comes down to atmosphere.

The atmosphere has been carefully created by the interior designer. They use a mixture of bold designs, clever fit out principles and a focus on small details to make the environment comforting, fun, light, relaxing, warm, cool… Any of those things! And it can come down to the strategically placed lights, or the use of real plants, the colour palette chosen or something as small as the type of chairs picked.

But what’s the point of having a great design if the workmanship isn’t up to scratch? That’s why you need a Project Manager to organise the best trades for you, to have our reliable staff on site completing your fit out to the highest standard. Professional fitouts will not only improve the appearance of your space but will allow your business to operate more efficiently.

Let us work with you from the design, construct and fitout stages. We take the time to get to know your business or home and work with you to understand your needs and requirements – from the floor layouts, colour palettes and code compliancy. We take into consideration your location, budget and deadlines.
